Rajasthan: Car going for procession in Kota fell into Chambal river, nine people including the groom died

Nine people, including the groom, were killed when a car going for a procession fell into a river in Kota in Rajasthan. The incident took place when the procession was going from Barwara to Ujjain on Chauth and fell into the Chambal river from the Nayapura culvert. On getting the information, the police reached the spot and started the rescue, but no one could be saved.

In the information received from the police, it came to the fore that a procession was going from Barwara to Ujjain for Chauth. There were 9 people inside the car. Along with this a bus full of processions was also running.

SP Kesar Singh Shekhawat said that the bus had overtaken and the car deviated from behind. During this time the car was passing through the small culvert of Nayapura Chambal river. Then he lost his balance and the car fell into the river below the culvert.

Giving information, the bridegroom was also among the dead, 

police said that a groom named Avinash was also sitting inside the car. This car was going to Ujjain. In which some people were involved in Chauth Ka Barwada and some people from Jaipur. However, the police are trying to identify the dead. There was chaos on the spot. Anyone who heard about the accident immediately rushed to the aid of the occupants of the car.

Lok Sabha Speaker and Minister Dhariwal expressed grief and condolences 

the information about the accident spread like fire in the city. Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla expressed condolences after getting information about the accident. Along with this, UDH Minister Shanti Dhariwal, who was on the Kota tour, has also expressed condolences and instructed the administration to provide quick assistance in the accident.

Dependents of the deceased demanded
assistance. Relatives say that those who have died are from poor families and there will be a lot of trouble in their last rites. In such a situation, the relatives have demanded compensation from District Collector Harimohan Meena, IG Ravidutt Gaur, who reached the mortuary.
