Wildlife experts believe that sparrows play an important role in maintaining the balance of the environment and nature. Sparrow is a bird that breeds itself by nesting on trees in populated areas, but in the present time, due to rapid urbanization, trees are being cut. Due to this sparrows are not able to prepare the nest themselves and their numbers are decreasing day by day.
On the initiative of Kanpur Zoological Garden Director KK Singh, 600 wooden nests have been made for sparrows, through which the sparrow has been given a breeding environment. The message of sparrow protection is being given to about one thousand visitors who come daily by writing slogans filled with awareness in the campus.
Important role in creating balance with nature: Suresh Singh Rajput, curator of Kanpur Zoological Park, explains that sparrow is such a bird that maintains balance in nature. Agriculture protects crops from damage by eating insects.
Sparrow likes to live with us: This bird likes to live in residential areas. People have to be aware about sparrow conservation. For sparrow protection, people can put a small wooden nest in their homes and give it a safe place. With this awareness among the general public, the sparrow will be saved from extinction.
Serving sparrows for 10 years: Advocate Sharad Krishna Pandey, resident of Kaushalpuri, says that he has been working on awareness for sparrow conservation for the last 10 years.
